et me produce student recital CD’s for you! Here's how it works.
Recording
I record the student in the teacher’s studio or in the student’s home. This is usually a half hour session using a MIDI
keyboard and a computer, both of which I provide. The advantage of a MIDI keyboard is that only the note data is recorded
which means we don’t have to worry about picking up outside noises to contaminate the recording and small mistakes can
easily be corrected, if desired.
Photo Session
Usually a separate session that is often done at the student’s home so the pictures will show the student playing on his or her
own instrument. This usually takes only 15 to 20 minutes. Pictures can be viewed and chosen on the spot.
Editing
Editing is done in my studio. The editing process is where the MIDI data is put together for recording the CD. If desired,
for a small extra charge, simple orchestral and rhythm parts can be added. A proof copy is produced for the teacher and
student to approve.
CD Production
Once the proof is approved, the CD is produced and the insert and label are printed.
A few samples of music from student CD's can be found
