The Cost Field

This is where you can store the cost of the item. This field requires a numerical value. You can type the $ sign if you want to, but you don't have to because TrainTrack will add it automatically. You can also omit trailing zeros after the decimal. For example, just type "50" if the cost was $50.00. Type "50.5" if the cost was $50.50.

It is recommended that you don't use parenthesis to indicate an approximate cost because under normal circumstances, parenthesis indicate negative numbers which can cause problems with the The Search/Find Function.
