Program Preferences - Files Tab

Program file preferences can be set by choosing File | Preferences from the Main Menu and clicking on the Files tab

This option controls how the Most Recent File List will appear and also how the file name will appear in the TrainTrack program title bar. If you want to clear the Most Recent File List, click the Clear List Button.

The File Name Only option will show the file names without showing where the files are stored.

The Partial Path option will show the file names with part of the path names. This is useful when the path names are long.

The Full Path Name option will show the file names with the full path. If the path names are long, this option can cause the File Menu to take up a lot of room on your screen.

Click Clear List to remove all file names (except the currently open file) from the history list.

Maximum Number of Files

This determines the maximum number of file names that will be displayed in the Most Recent File List. The upper limit for this is 15 files and the lower limit is 1 file.

Create Back Up Files

Checked If this is checked when TrainTrack loads a file, a copy of the file is made first using .bak as the file extension. If a disaster occurs while editing the file, you can use Window's Explorer to delete the original file, then rename the .bak file using .mdb.

Unchecked No back up is made.
