The List Editor

All of the list editors work in exactly the same way. The type of data you are working on is the only difference between them.

You can reach the list editors from the Main Menu by choosing Edit, or you can right click on any part of the white background of the Tree View Pane, then choose the desired List Editor from the menu.

The title bar of the List Editor tells you which list you are working with.

The Command Buttons

Generally, you will edit the list using the command buttons.

The Add Button

Click the Add Button to add a new name. Type the name, then click Update or Close.

The Update Button

Saves changes without closing the editor.

The Close Button

Closes the editor. If you have made changes, you will be asked if you want to keep the changes.

The Delete Button

Caution: This button deletes names without warning. Default names or names which are in use cannot be deleted. If you must delete a name that is in use, first find all the cards using the name and change all occurrences of the name to something else. (See the topic below).

Editing Names

If you click on the name in the box on the right, you can make changes to that name. If the name is being used by cards in the database (including cards not visible in the Tree View Pane, you will be asked if you want to change all the occurrences of the name in the database. If you answer "No", then the name will not be changed. If you delete the name by erasing all the characters in the box, then type a new name, the new name will replace the original name.

You can choose an existing name by clicking in the list box on the left. You can then use the arrow keys on your keyboard ( or ) to move up or down through the list or type the first letter of an item on the list to find a name.
