The Picture Field

This field holds the name of the picture file. The default value is "(none)". If you know the name of the file, just type it in.

The easiest way to find your picture is to click on the button with the three dots (). Clicking the button will open the Open Picture File Dialog and allow you to search your hard drive and see previews of your pictures. Once you select one of the pictures, you will see a preview of it. You can then use the arrow keys on your keyboard ( or ) to move up or down through the pictures file list to preview each picture. The preview will change each time the blue bar moves to a new file name.

To select a directory, you must double-click on the directory name. It is highly recommended that all the pictures dealing with a given database be in one place. You can choose the default picture directory and the default picture type in Program Preferences - Current Database.

Click Open to add the current picture to the data card. Click Cancel to leave the card unchanged.
