Required field. It is a good idea to develop a standard way of showing reporting marks (and other data items). For example, a Santa Fe boxcar could be shown as ATSF 37043 or AT&SF 37043. Periods could also be used: A.T.S.F. 37043. Spaces could be used in various places. You should choose one form and try to stick to it, even though different equipment for the same railroad may actually show different forms.
