After the Splash Screen closes, TrainTrack shows a Tip of the Day if it is enabled. You can enable or disable Tip of the Day by going to program defaults and putting a check in the Show Tip of the Day at Startup Box.
Tip of the Day can also be reached from the Main Menu by going to Help | Tip of the Day.
