Tree View options can be set by choosing File | Preferences on the Main Menu and clicking on the Tree View tab.
Tree View Pane
Checked If you change the width of the Tree Pane, TrainTrack will remember the width and use it next time you run the program.
Unchecked If you change the width of the Tree Pane, it will return to its default width the next time you run TrainTrack.
Checked Cards shown in the Tree View Pane that don't have pictures yet will be marked with an asterisk. (This is independent of the printing options).
Tree Sorting Options
This option affects all railroad databases and determines how the Tree View will be sorted when TrainTrack is initially opened.
Sort by Railroadcauses the Tree Pane to be sorted and grouped by railroad names.
Sort by Equipment Type causes the Tree Pane to be sorted and grouped by equipment type.
If you only want to change the sort option temporarily, you can use Edit | Sort By Railroad or Edit | Sort By Type on the Main Menu, or right click on any empty space in the Tree View Pane.
